Abstract (paraphrased)

The close-binary fraction of solar-type stars varies strongly with metallicity, from 53%\sim 53\% at [Fe/H]=3\mathrm{[Fe/H]} = -3 to 10%\sim 10\% at [Fe/H]=+0.5\mathrm{[Fe/H]} = +0.5. Important for binary population synthesis at low metallicity.
