What it provides¶
IAU 2015 Resolution B3 fixes a set of nominal conversion constants so that solar and planetary quantities are reported against exact, agreed reference values — decoupling them from the slowly-improving measured constants. The quantity progenax depends on is the nominal solar mass parameter,
reported alongside nominal solar radius, luminosity, and effective temperature, and the analogous nominal terrestrial and Jovian quantities.
Use in progenax¶
progenax.analytical.base— the solar-mass unit underlyingSOLAR_SYSTEM_PLANETSis this IAU 2015 nominal mass parameter. (The planet/Sun mass ratios in that table are IAU 2009 / Luzum et al. 2011, verified separately — see Analytical test cases validation.)
